'Sorry, Jerry. I had already made a committment for a different volunteer activity that day. I'll try to make it again next year.

To the rest of you - - - if you haven't done this, it really is great fun and a terriffic outing for the family. I've been twice and always felt it was worth the drive.

My first time, I used the activity as part of the qualifying volunteering for the Master Hunter program.

We always welcome groups of kids. Paul DonHefner, director of the state marine board brings a group of boy scouts and spends the night. JD

Best wises for another successful event. Once again this hit on my work days, otherwise I would do this again.

Like everything else Tillamook Anglers does, it is very planned and coordinated.

Jerry,

See you there. Let me know if you need any additional things for the barbecue that I could donate. Always a great event that my son and I look forward to every year. Nice to see so many familiar faces and new ones too.

Hi Ian. We ordered 80lbs of Potato Salad with hopes that would be enough. I know that we ran out last time. If you wanted to bring about 20lbs that would be just great. Would have said brownies, but we are having birthday cake. See ya there. JD

DIRECTIONS. Come to Tillamook and follow the signs to Cape Look Out State Park. The hatchery is two miles N. of the park. If you go by the hatchery with our seeing it,,,,,,OOPS,,,, well,,,,we don't think you should try to clip fins. In other words you can't miss it. At each turn you will also see a sign that says, FISH,->. If you should get lost, call the hatchery, 503-815-2555. If you need more info give me a call 503-812-1572. JD

I have had a couple of folks ask , why are we having fin clipping on the same day as the N.W Steel headers banquet. Sorry, but we always have it on the 2nd weekend of April. We always go to the banquet but can't this year. Hope a lot of ifishers show up to both events. JD

Hey we had a great work party today. All set up for Sat. BUT we have a real concern!!!!!!!!!!!!! We sent a notice to the Oregonian,,,,,BUT,,,,Bill M. is no longer there and we got NOTHING in the paper. We have good coverage in the Salem paper and local but nothing in Portland. We need about 400 people to get this job done!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE, help spread the word to any one that would give up a day of fishing and come over and help. Any one, anglers, GUIDES, that fishes Tillamook should be involved and give us a hand. If it was not for Whiskey Creek Volunteer Salmon hatchery,,,,,,their would be little or no Springer fishing in Tillamook. Come on folks HELP. Thanks. Jerry Dove
