Will the Nehalem fish today?

I was gonna take my dad to the disabled fishing ramp at the nf nehalem hatchery today. I see that the river has come up from 8.28 to 8.5. I would really like for dad to catch a fish but we don't want to make the 2hr trip unless it is still fishable. Can anyone tell me if the nf will be fishable at the hatchery today?

Hammernfish-
Try calling the NF hatchery fish line at 503-368-5670. I think they update fairly early. Have fun with your dad. If the fishing gets done early go to the Jewl Mist elk meadows and check out the elk.
