Wow that is amazing. A thousand foot long ship with a deck 60 feet off the water buries the nose.
How would you like to do the maintenance on the blackhawk helicopter on the flight deck? The only way to get any more saltwater on that would be to tow it on the end of a cable.

Been there, done that...not the el capitan tho...just a measley young electronics tech...locked inside for 3 days....while others got terribly ILL!
North Atlantic for us....

I have been there. When the wind is that strong. You can jump up, it will
carry you back 20 to 30 ft. and if you have good balance you stay on your feet.well it hurts a little... if you do not. that's the navy.
