Default 2009 Dodge crew cab?

I've read that in '09, Dodge is coming out with a conventional size crew cab for the 1500.

Will they have the same cab for the 2500 & 3500?
I can't find anything that states it will be available in the other models.

This has been overdue for Dodge. Now, you only have a choice between the extended cab and mega cab, and the mega cab is to much truck for the Hemi.
Lookk forward to seeing it out.

The Mega cab with a long bed is a way cool rig, but out of my price range
The 1500 will be interesting

Finally a long bed crewcab in a dodge! Love the mega cab, but must have a longbed!

I am confused. Is a conventional size between a quad cab and mega cab?

You can currently get the 1500 with a Quad (crew) or Mega Cab, but only with a short bed, unless you go after-market $$.

The 2500/3500s are available with short or long beds with the quad cab option. However if you get a Mega cab then you are limited to only a short bed.

The 4 door Dodges are a joke when compared to Fords or GMs. Those back seats are tiny.

The turning radius on the longbed quadcab dodge is WAY better than chevy or ford with a crewcab.

Yes, the conventional size is between a quad and mega. The quad is 4" shorter than the Fords and Chevy's. Although it doesn't seem like much, a large adult can feel the difference.

I'm not interested in a 1/2 ton, so I'm hoping that they will have the 3/4 and 1 ton in the newer cab size.

Maybe a when compared to a Ford, I own a GMC 2500HD crew cab, (Dmax/ally if you're wondering) and the back seat is tiny and only good for the kids, wife, or shorter people. Fords have way more space in the rear seats than GM. Just thought I'd let you all know.

I love my mega cab. Sure a long bed would be nice, but wasn't a requirement for me. And the hemi does fine.

I don't know how accurate this website is but here is what I found:

(a great write up for the 2009 models)

Sorry JR, looks like you will have to wait.

Is it just me or is the 1500 interior starting to look alot like the F-150s

The new "Rambox" option seems like a great idea. You can alway use more storage

It doesn't look too bad from the outside either:

I just wish dodge's short bed was actually 6'8" like the fords. I can fit my 4wheeler in my ford and close the tailgate, but I had to get the longbed with the new dodge which meant the quad cab and no megacab for me.....

The new ford has a little more room in back than the dodge quad cab, not much though. Mega cab is cool but stinks that it's only with a short, short bed...

Forget the back seats though, why is the front seat so uncomfy on the new dodges? My buddies 2005 is the same way. Passenger seat is ok but the drivers seat is made for someone half my size I guess. Can't keep a wallet in my back pocket when driving and still makes us stiff and have sore bums after a longer drive.

uh.... you have never seen the back seats in the 4 door Mega Cabs apparently. The back seats actually recline there is so much room. I am 6'1 and can sit in the back without coming close to touching the front seat ahead of me.

you must have the extendend cab gmc i have crew cab chevy and nobody complains it is too small it is about the same as the front and is larger then the quad cab dodge but not as large as the mega cab and it has a long box which was a requirement for me besides the super nice ride -Andy

I totally disagree w/you, since I own one. I have an '04 Quad Cab 2500 4x4 that is very comfortable for my step son, who is 6' 5" and 265lbs. He has no problem with leg room or head room, and is very comfortable in the back seat.

I dont know its just me i wont by a ford or dodge for some reason i drove the 07 2500's and just didnt get the feel for it. I love the chevy silverados for many reasons manly cause they have the vortec which to me is a really great engine. Though i love chevy I will never stray from toyota. I had a 4runner i just sold. My first truck was a toyota pick up 4x4 22re (yeah no power but really sturdy and reliable). Now i am looking at going with a 07 tundra due to I am buying a boat and need pulling and for the size tundra seems to do what i want and is my Fav. Brand. Also with the 5.7's the tundra carries and the mods ill put into it when i get it i will have well over 330 hrs. So to my thats were my mind is at. I am 6'2" 270lbs and the dodge does have plenty of room in back and front so does the chevy and the gmc. Ford on the other hand i just wont go near them(bad experience with my dads when i was younger.) Anyways. Thats just my little Thanks for reading
