Default Speaking of hats, and water down your neck...

I hate hoods! They get water in them when you are not wearing them. Flip them up, and your neck and down your back is doused.
My Filson is awesome, (Even though I left it in Jim's boat) but still...
Yesterday Thumper had a "dry as a bone" hat, but over it, he had a plastic cover, like a shower cap thingy.
(Sorry Thumper, I hope you don't get teased for wearing a shower cap while fishing...)
But it worked like a charm!
I'm getting one for my Filson! I don't care what the heck I look like. I want to be dry and comfortable!
Are Dry as A Bone dry? Are Filsons dry? In my experience, my Filson has done a really good job. I get wet around the rims, but my top is always dry.
Once my head gets wet, I get cold.
What is your opinion? Hoods? Hats? Hey.... How bout a drift boat cover?   With windshield wipers... and little holes for the oars?
