Welcome aboard! You should find some interesting reading here, if nothing else Just kidding, lots of helpful info is exchanged on a daily basis. If you don't mind catching smallmouths, Oregon has plently of quality bass fishing to offer. Wait until spring and then look into the John Day and Umpqua Rivers, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. I personally have caught quite a few fish on the John Day pushing 20", and also had many days of total fish well over 100  By the way, the faces are found under the 'Instant Graemlins' heading, right below where you type your message. Good luck with the salmon and steelhead education. Shorten the learning curve and go with one of the guides who post here, you will be very happy you did.

PJ
Welcome, tell us a story of your southern states fishing.

I have fished with about 1/2 of the people on this web site I am busy this weekend, but maybe in a week or so we can make a drift trip on a coastal river. No alcohol allowed in my boat, but I do enjoy Hot Chocolate on a cold day in the boat

The wife really frowns on me fishing with hot babes, you are a guy right??? The wife saw a picture of Fishbait and is thinking of limiting my fishing time with him now. She said anybody that ugly and married must be ******* ***** ******.

Welcome!
Jen... freezing cold but still giggling after hearing about a Wilson River event where the guys fell off their chair, lost their rod, retrieved it, and still got their fish!
Tee hee!

PB&Jfish, awwwwww, wait until the RAIN starts!

It's STEELHEAD time right now, hillbilly! Once one of them takes you for a ride, you won't care about bass of any size. I guess that's not necessarily true - no accounting for taste.

There are some good sized bass in Oregon, you have to know where to look. Probably nothing to compare with Louisiana.

Welcome to ifish.net - start lying!

my dad lives in ringgold just west of shrevport. spent some time gator hunting on black lake [photos only]. fishin there is great but fairly dangerous. we encountered several cottonmouths, and whip snakes. not to mention the gators. as said before we've got some great smallmouth on the umpqua [170 fish in 1 day] also ten mile lake in lakeside oregon on the coast has good largemouths as well as a hybrid bass. don't let the rain get you down it brings in fresh fish. Let's see if someone can't get you into a metalhead. you'll be dreamin of steelheadin and watchin riverlevels in no time. Fish-On

Default New Member, hello y\'all

I am a bucket mouth bass fisher dude from Lousianna who aint real happy about getting moved to the wet end of Oregun right now. I am currently getting over a nasty cold from all this wet dampness and hope to get healthy soon. Sitting at home playing on the computer I found this website under a search for Oregun fishing. I hope to spend some time on here and meet a
few other fisher dudes. Business was slow back home and my company packed up and moved out west to strike gold for lack of a better description. I would have been unemployed back home so I got me a U-haul and came with them a while back. (It sure is expensive housing out here) I see there is a bass and panfish board but it gets about as much traffic as there seem to be big bass here. I guess it is a do as the romans do, and I need to get into salmon fishing. Anybody got a seat open and want to show a hillbilly how to catch salmon I am a good listener and will bring beverage of choice as long as it comes in a can with a pull tab.

How do you get them cute faces on this page, I wanted a winky thingy there at the end?
