Default The right gear but little skill! RAPIDCATS!

Bruce Bittler from Water Ready! came by today, to bring by my demo cat. It is BEAUTIFUL!
The cart he brought along to haul it is really cool, but he has some work to do on it. I can even haul it, though! WOW! It's light as air with the cart!
OK, here is a pictorial of what went on:

See? I can haul it all by myself!

Let's talk about things, where they are, how to use the anchor system. By the way, the anchor system is Awesome! You do it with your foot, or with your hand. I just love it, and it holds, without a sway!

We spent quite a bit of time just talking. Then... It was ready for launch!

Kilchis went with me! He was so proud of Mom, he had to give me kisses!

Then, Bill shoved me off, and down the Kilchis I went, all by myself! I took my plug rod, but found little water deep enough to plug. I should have taken my jig rod, and will do that, tomorrow, maybe. I wore my USIA dry suit, just in case I dumped. There were a few risky spots, and a couple times I had to take out and pull it through because of sweepers in the only deep enough spots. All in all, though, I had a blast! Let's do it again, Kilchis!

The hat comes comped from Water Ready. You know, we did the traditional fishing biz, hat trade! I like it! My head is on fire! My head is on fire!

It's an 11 footer, and Bill came to pick me up with the trailer. I guess I'm going to have to learn to hook up a trailer and lights, after all!! For some reason, I can back them like a pro, I can drive them, but I am shy to learn about how to hook them up!

I pulled it most of the way down with the cart that he developed. I had trouble, though, when we got to the big rocks. That's why we did today like we did. To troubleshoot my handicap. I am not supposed to lift more than 20 pounds, due to my heart condition. I KNOW! I KNOW! There is a big salmon on the front page, and I lifted that, but hey! There are some things risking your dang life for, and that salmon is one of them!!!

Let's see... I don't know what model it is, but Bruce can take it from here and tell you. All I know is that I ADORE the standing platform, and the rod holder, AND the cup holder, which doubles as a perfect bait holder!

I'm not very good on the oars, but the fact is, I am still alive... Even after rowing extreme Class One Rapids!!! (Lions and tigers and bears! OH MY!)

Hey-- I'm new at this, give me a break!

It is an inflatable life jacket. Doesn't show well in the last picture cause of the glare from the pink corkie look she had going on. It is there though. Happy Fishn'

Where is my life jacket? LOL... Sometimes people on ifish are like, "I know I can find something wrong with this post, here!"

Anyhow, when he came, I had been fly fishing on the bank. When I actually left to row the boat, I put on my dry suit and my Stearns inflatable.

Looks like fun.
Gini was eyeballing the 12' & 14' 2-person cats at the sportsman's show. She thought it would be great to have me on the sticks to get her to some new water. Never been on a cat. Anyone with experience on the 2-seat models?

Hey GOT2FISH,
I gotta Idea, Let's go fishn' next week and you can give it a try with me. I decided to name the model Jennie has. Were gonna call it the "ifish DLX". She took off with it, like she'd been on it forever. I cannot wait to see pictures of fish that I know she can catch. So all Cats' set up like hers, be it 8' 9' 10', etc will be called that.
Need to get ya going with a Cat so you can help me clean up the river for the next S.O.L.V clean-up.  Happy Fishn' Bruce

Hey Tangled,
I am doing Albany Sportsman/Boat&Rv show, the 27,28,29th of this month. Am planning on the clean-up the second Saturday(13th) of March. Would really enjoy the help! I will post details as we get closer. Maybe Jennie can bring her ifish Dlx Rapidcat along to Supervise and Be a Mod for us, (along with her rod). Thanks for your future support! Happy Fishn' Bruce
