Default Fishing the Sandy tomorrow?

Hey guys. I want to fish the Sandy tomorrow morning but it looks like the freezing level is going to be going up today and tomorrow along with a lot of rain. Does anyone think the river will be fishable tomorrow? I wanna hit Oxbow for a little while. Thanks in advance!!

oxbow fished pretty well today. there were several fish caught by the plunking crowd at the boat ramp. also talked to a guy fishing upriver from jack's who hooked a couple yesterday. i managed a native up at gordon creek on a pink worm and jig head. keep an eye on the river level; if it's steady or dropping get out there.

Have not been out there today, my guess is you can fish tomorrow. I'm trying to get out there on Saturday and drift the Oxbow to Dabney, try to guess what the water will be then. Always like doing that part of the river, even if we don't get fish it is a good day. Good luck, will look for a post tomorrow to see how you do.

Sudden rise of nearly a foot overnight plus gusty winds make for no fun on the Sandy.

River was still fishable at dark. One seen caught late in the afternoon. The water was lapping at the bottom boards of the old handicap facility at the boat ramp. It still may be fishable in the morning if the freezing level comes down and the rain stops. Some of the creeks coming in were still relatively clear.Plunking close in to the bank inside a seam can be productive even in brown water.Good luck if and when you go. The Sandy will clear up quickly, much quicker than most other area rivers, when the rain slows down and/or the freezing level drops. There are lots of fish in the system so fish should be caught as soon as the river starts coming back into shape.

Wiser...... Thanks for the info! Since I was unable to make it to the river today I felt it only necessary to treat my self to a little birthday present and purchased another steelhead pole  Now all I need to do is break it in on a nice winter fish and all will be well!! Here goes nothing.......
