Default Umpqua Pre-Spawn Smallies

My buddy Matt (Built2Fish) and I took a guided trip on the Umpqua last Friday. Didnt catch a large number of fish (as you would imagine this time of year) but definetly caught some big ones. Here are a few of the better pics....

I will tell Matt to post some of his better pics too.....

Nice fish!

Looks like you had fun even if you didn't catch a lot of fish.

What type of the water were the big girls hiding in? Down deep or up shallow...in between?

They had not moved up yet, still sitting in 8-12 feet of water for the most part. Not deep, but deep for the Umpqua....

Thanks Mike. The progression of the pics shows the weather i guess... started off raining pretty good, then some light showers but cleared up for the afternoon. Worked out pretty well.

We went down with Todd Harrington actually... the guy knows those bass, it was almost like cheating really.

Very nice Ryan. Now we just need to get out and repeat that on the Willy.
