I have caught them up near Quartville Creek mouth in the spring when the water gets warm. I like the rocky shoreline.

I have not fished there much but every time I have gone I head up to the east end of the main body and fish 5"-6" plastic worms mainly green colors around the submerged stumps. I have not been there this year so not sure of the water level and I suspect it's very cold. I have fished the stumps and submerged logs along the shorelines. Always catch largemouth but I have heard there are some smallies.
Would be curious to hear how high the water is.

You couldn't pick a better lake to get started with bass fishing. Not because its typical but because there's tons of bass and they're easy to catch.

Look for rocky points on the main body of the lake. Throw 4 or 5 inch Senkos, carolina rigged is my favoite but however you want to rig them. You can also fish the small Brush Hogs, tubes, heck just about any soft plastics. Don't get too caught up in colors. Ask for the most popular at any tackle store that'll be the best to start with. Also don't be afraid to throw crankbaits and or rattletraps. Once you get a strike take note of depth, retrieve rate, and the composition of the shoreline. Repeat everything and you'll probably start coming up with a formula.

Have fun and let us know how things work out.
