First springers of '04

Well I wish I had a picture for you all but I dropped it in the river when we were netting the fish. The camera was only 2 weeks old. We had some nice pictures of some eagles and hawks that were flying up above us but my buddy left the camera on the rail of the boat and it went for a swim....I guess we were trying to take underwater pictures with it and now we don't have the camera.

anyways...We were actually out sturgeon fishing down towards the mouth of the lewis in this little sneaker whole we found last year. We only hooked 1 keeper sturgeon and a lot of shakers but we seen a few seals in the area so we decided to fish with some kwick fish and with in 35 min. we had one on. It ways a beatuful fish about 25 lbs. the olny real bad thing was it was a native so we let it go after I had to remind my buddy that we had to keep the fish in the water at all times. After letting that fish go, about an hour and a half later we were deciding if we wanted to quite fishing since we had no other take downs and we decided that we would wait another 30 min or so, my buddy's rod get hammered and it was a keeper. the fish was about 18-20 lbs. nice little hen. to bad the eggs wern't mature yet. Not bad for only the 4th trip in the boat so far this year...and the first trip for springers. looks like I will have to put the sturgeon gear away and bring the rest of the springer gear out...I'm on the prowl now....good luck!

That's Ok about the camera. I dropped my cell phone overboard Wednesday. :shocked: I was on the phone with my carrier,changing my plan when I dropped it. [img]graemlins/dork.gif[/img] Luckly Gizmo man has the same carrier so I borrowed his. Only on the grounds that I SIT DOWN and talk and don't get up. :blush: I got my new phone Friday, so I wasn't out that long.
