Gave it a go this morning. Kind of lumpy and windy (15kts building to 20kts when we gave it up). Bar was restricted to 22 and under. Visited a few spots for a few black rockfish around the pinnacles. Water was 43 degrees. Most of our fish came from small groups on the sonar. Then around high slack we found one of the epic clouds of fish but only managed to get one from it. Fun and nobody hurled!

Tough! Day, at least you got out & caught a few.

It wasn't too bad for a short trip. If the swell would have been bigger we wouldn't have bothered. Guests in town so we gave it a try.

Last night when we were eating our catch I realized that the rod catching the most fish had a white plastic grub/tail and the others had black. White was the color on a two ounce jig head. Had to set one engine in reverse to keep the drift right. Most were caught on the jig, only one on the shrimp fly.

Yep! White has always been a good color for us also, I think cause It's more visible than most, Chartruse, & Glow also work well.
