Rogue rods?
Looking for some feedback on anyone with experience with Rogue rods.
It's time to buy a couple new rods and I'm checking all my options.
Also, does anyone have a good connection for buying them. If so, please pm, or e-mail me with that info.
Thanks,
Mike

Re: Rogue rods?
Simply the best!
Better then all the rest!
There is nothing like a Rogue for confidence and durability.

Re: Rogue rods?
Nothing but good things to say here, own a couple of them, pretty durable and the warranty work has been good. The first couple of batches they put out a few years ago had problems, but the new ones are very nice. They supposedly use the same graphite as the IMX loomis rods only thicker (this is heresay).

Re: Rogue rods?
I have two Rogue rods and love em. They have a certain feel to them that is different from the G Loomis & Rainshadow blanks.

Re: Rogue rods?
I loved mine, but I broke it being stupid. I sent it back with my 20$ and a letter asking them to call if it was going to cost more due to user error and not their workmanship. They cashed the check 2 weeks ago but no phone call, hopefully that means they are fixing it as if it wasn't my fault. They are definitely a fine rod.

Re: Rogue rods?
The first time I lit into a 36lb Alsea nook, I knew the difference.
I just knew that it had the backbone but yet they are still sensitive.

Re: Rogue rods?
I was fortunate to be given 6 Rogue rods during a Video shoot at D&E Rods who has done...and may still be tying, rods for Rogue.
Excellent rods in my opinion.. One rod in particular, has been my GO-TO Bobber stick in tidewater. 9 footer, light weight...perfect.
The other rods have also held up in multiple trips for springers, steelhead, etc.

Re: Rogue rods?
Excellent rods!! Mine 9-footer has a very soft-sensitive tip that lets me tell if I'm on a pebble or a boulder.
Very comparable to my Loomis and Rainshadow rods.

Re: Rogue rods?
Yes, D&E rods makes up lots of blanks for Rogue Rods. But I heard a rumor that Vern is sick and is looking to sell...I don't know...just something I heard.
I have a Rogue Rod, had it custom wrapped and everything. It busted one me once, sent it back in, they said it was the rod and not the owner. Sent me a new top for free.
All mine is an 8.5ft Steelhead casting drift rod. I use it mostly for silvers and winter Steelhead fishing. I sure have caught some nice fall hogs on it tho, healed up nice.
Ol man has a few Rogue rods, he sure likes them. Likes them over his loomis rods.

Re: Rogue rods?
Mike,
I got two for Christmas and I have already put fish in the boat with them. I have felt their 9'6" that compares to the GL1141 and I can tell it feels every bit as good as or better than the GL. I still hope to get out with you and show you. You'll have to let me know what your days off are since I hate weekend traffic.

Re: Rogue rods?
Travis,
Are these factory rods, or did you build them?
If you built them, what guides do they have?
Thanks,
Mike
