Default Poll

Well, I posted a thread almost a year ago and since there are so many new people on here now, I thought I would try it again. Now for the question - How many musicians do we have on the board? What instruments do you play, what kind of music (IF it's country don't bother cause it's not music JK   ) Have you played professionally or just as a hobby? etc.

Guitar and vocals, mostly rock and heavy metal. Although now I am learning the finer points of the blues. Been in 1 punk band (Sadistic Twist) and 1 hard rock / metal band (Cats and Dogs) Now I play on the worship team at church and love it.

Hi Tanner,
I play guitar and yoddle a thing or two. Play for a hobby now. Been doing it off and on just about as long as I can Remember. My mother made me play the Accordian when I was eight. I think I did htat on a professional level cause my mother had us make a vinyl album way back then. Hated the old squeze box but picked the guitar up and can't seem to put it down.

If we get a lot of response, it would be nice if we could get together and Spit out a tune or two!!

Weren't you gonna host a live Jam the last time?

I play a Trombone (as a hobby) with the Beaverton Adult Community Band. I have played with this band for about 10 years. This was after about 18 years of letting the horn collect dust. I did play in a band back in community college that did play for dances, proms, etc. I do miss playing in a dance band, something I hope to do again.

If anybody is interested the Beaverton Band is having a FREE Christmas concert Friday at 7:30 PM.
The concert is at Whitford Middle School. It is located on Scholls Ferry Road across from the Progress Golf Course.

Music major, trumpet and guitar. While at school (Mt Hood music program) I overheard someone saying to another music student "If you're starving, get a job!" I did and found out that I could make a lot more money working. Now I have my guitars, a computer with Band-in-a-Box, a keyboard, small mixer and headphones. My computer band is pretty good, a little sterile, but never misses a beat and doesn't have an attitude! No smokey bars either, not that I could stay up that late anymore anyway.

I'm an old Sax man....really good in in my high school years, but it gave way to women, fast cars, booze, work, etc.

Of all the dumb things I've done in my life...giving the sax up was probably the biggest mistake. One day soon (well maybe not so soon) I'll get me another one...and for sure..I'll be playing mostly BLUES music.

Played the guitar for years and was always ending up playing the bass when jamming with friends. That's what happens when 4 guitarists show up and you're the worst! I finally gave up fighting it and am now just playing the bass. Yes, I'm pretty bad at that too.

What is this "rythm" thing people keep talking about?

Q: What do you call someone who's always hanging around a group of musicians?

A: A drummer!!!

Osprey,
No wonder you have to keep replacing glass shower doors. Quit singing in there. Why don't you just weld up a metal one so you can save some money for singing lessons.

Violin huh, I always took you for a harpist.

Hello,

I need a musician to create some music for the Show...You know, the kind of Up-Beat, fish catching type of music you hear on ESPN Outdoors.

Any ideas??
