I am considering the Smarty programmer. It is supposedly not detectable by the dealer. I could care less about more power. I want better fuel economy.

Predator Diablo on the 65hp tune = increase of 3mpg's

It really depends on my right foot, with the increase in hp it's hard to stay out of it!

Hey brotherwolf I have done alot of research on chips, programmers and power boxes. Also worked as a mechanic for Ford for a few years. For the 7.3L Bully dog is not what you want. For Mileage especially, your best bet is what they refer to as a custom tune. It's not anymore expensive but is much more specific to your individual factory computer program. There are also a few other cheaper modifications you can make to your truck that you may or may not know about. I picked up 2mpg using a few of these cheap tricks. Pm If you want details.

Another vote for DP Tuners. Jody does custom tunes specifically for your rig and price is in line with other more generic tuners. I'm thinking of going to Jody and upgrading from the SCMT I've been using for the last 3 years.
