Here, Lurker, lurker, lurkerrrrrr......
We have had tons of new registrations, I can see the many, many hit counts... You are out there, hiding!!!
Practice up, lurkers... I am going to hold a contest for first time posters only, in hopes of bringing some of those lurkers out of the closet!Don't miss it! Once you post, you'll be hooked! Caught and never released!
There are a vast number of things to be discussed, events planned, thoughts organized, and lures of destruction designed during high water and lousy fishing periods.
Someone told me that ifish was now getting so large that we don't tell secrets anymore... It used to be that we would share the hot rivers, and how/when/where. Now, he said, he can tell when to fish by the lack of posts the day when the fishing is hot! Funny!
There is still lots of info to share without giving up your favorite fishing hole!
FISH ON!
Jen

Re: Here, Lurker, lurker, lurkerrrrrr......
Having lurked a loooong time before posting, I have to say that the following quote is an example of why some may not be eager to post. It appears that sometimes (not all, just sometimes) you don't know what your talking about unless you have lots and lots of posts. It appears Jim was unhappy with the comment made by Bob. He had every right to call him on it but, it hardly seems like only having three posts had anything to do with the conversation. Take it easy quys, strangers are only friends you haven't met yet.

I don't need to mellow out cuz I'm not upset, it just surprises me thats all. Don't read more into it than that...thanks.

Re: Here, Lurker, lurker, lurkerrrrrr......
Jen, I have to agree with you. Sure the pinpointing of hotspots is very uncommon, but the availability of good solid information is found here. There are lots of "How-To's" such as equipment, knots, bait etc. that are very practical. But I really appreciate the safety oriented info, bar crossing, proper anchoring, VHF radios, nasty river drifts are just some of the subjects discussed that probably have saved some lives. There are some great and knowledgable participants that submit sincere and invaluable information on this site!
So some of us are going to have to learn things like hot fishing spots on our own, including myself, that is probably the way it should be. We appreciate things more!
