Default Medford ideas?

I am going to be down in Medford this week for a few days, was thinking about taking my rods and some of my new swimbaits and getting in some fishing. Any ideas on where to go? I thought about Selmac, but it looks like almost a 1 hour drive. I won't have much time in the evenings after working, so I was looking for something closer. Oh yea, and no boat available. Any ideas or suggestions???

Well, if it was me... I'd look at the ROGUE. It's been a while but if I remember right, "White City" is just to the north of Medford. Denman Wildlife area has at least one good lake for fishing. But, I'd probably skip that and go straight to the Rogue River near Gold Hill. Very beautiful and suppose to be a great fishing spot. I hope my recollection of all this is correct! But otherwise, if you do just a little "homework" there are a lot of great places to fish in that area. If you have a boat with you it will make your options even better! Good luck and let us know!

It's a little cold down here with the recent cold front that hit here. If your looking for something close by thats quick and easy then I would hit up the Expo Ponds. I have seen a couple of bass swim by me when I was fishing for trout.

i agree when i was growing up in central point my brother and i would skip school and ride our bikes to the expo and fish for blue gill, crapy, bass, and cat fish. agate lake is also a good one to go fish if you have a boat or something like that it is hard to walk around,
