Fantastic!! I posted that website a while back with a joke, and no one commented.
Just tell me what I have to do to win that calendar!! Then again, last time I won something on here (steelhead lures for knowing about some song... something ending with "...the knife") back when the sharks were eating everyone, I never got them. :depressed:

Ummmh...? Babes in Neopren waders?! I like it! Nothing more distracting than babes in neoprens while fishing in the summer. Especially if they fit right
Jen, I hope there are no "over weight" ladies in these calenders. Hummmmmmm.....Nikki Cox or Pam Anderson  Nuff said

Re: Women in waders.... No! Not me!
Jim, I'm with you, seems some people that fish are unhappy with what is at home so they have to get their looks and fantasies elswhere. This is a reason why morality has gone down the drain in this country, and a reason why divorce rates are so high, marriage is not sacred anymore, it's disposable.
You would not find anything like that in my home for the pure respect of my wife and daughters. What kind of message does this send!!
Single guys have at it, married folks...well follow you conscience....

Women in waders.... No! Not me!
I got a letter from Mel at Women In Waders Calendars.
She is sending me some calendars for the "Ready, Set.." contest!
Where are THE MEN IN WADERS calendars? That is what I want to know!
Mel? Hasn't the time come?
Anyway, look forward to some of these in the ready set contest... Now, lets see... what questions shall I ask?

Re: Women in waders.... No! Not me!
I was thinking about getting the calander for hubby for Christmas. Where can I get the Hunk in wadders calander for myself? (drooling).
This isn't related but I have to share it anyway:
The column entitled "Suddenly Senior" was written by a man. He says, "As I
grow in age, I value older women most of all. Here are just a few reasons
why.
An older woman will never wake you in the middle of the night to ask, "What
are you thinking?" She doesn't care what you think.
An older woman knows herself well enough to be assured in who she is, what
she is, what she wants and from whom. Few women past the age of 50 give a
damn what you might think about her.
An older single woman usually has had her fill of "meaningful
relationships"
and "commitment." The last thing she needs in her life is another dopey,
clingy, whiny, dependent lover!
Older women are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at
the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you
deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you if they think they can get
away
with it.
Most older women cook well. They care about cleanliness and are generous
with praise, often undeserved.
An older woman has the self-assurance to introduce you to her women
friends.
A younger woman with a man will often ignore even her best friend because
she doesn't trust the guy with other women. Older women couldn't care less.
Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins to an
older woman. They always know.
An older woman looks good wearing bright red lipstick. This is not true of
younger women or drag queens.
Once you get past a wrinkle or two, an older woman is far sexier than her
younger counterpart. Her libido's stronger, her fear of pregnancy gone. Her
experience of lovemaking is honed and reciprocal and she's lived long
enough
to know how to please a man in ways her daughter could never dream of.
(Young men, you have something to look forward to.)
Older women are forthright and honest. They'll tell you right off you are a
jerk if you are acting like one.
Yes, we praise older women for a multitude of reasons. Unfortunately, it's
not reciprocal. For every stunning, smart, welcomed babe of 70 there is a
bald, paunchy relic in yellow pants making a fool of himself with some
22 year old waitress.
Ladies, I apologize for all of us. That men are genetically inferior is no
secret. Count your blessings that we die off at a far younger age. Leaving
you the best part of your lives to appreciate the exquisite woman you've
become. Without the distraction of some demanding old man clinging and
whining his way into your serenity.

Re: Women in waders.... No! Not me!
Thanks for sharing, Flasher. That's a great one. I'm going to save it and show it to my wife of 27 years.
It's been said that older women have 3 valuable characteristics: They don't yell, they don't tell, and they're grateful as hell!

Re: Women in waders.... No! Not me!
Aren't they just women in swim suits? What you would see on the beaches of California? It's not nasty, is it?
Just pretty ladies, right?
If I thought it bad, I certainly wouldn't have it on ifish. I think the women are beautiful!
They aren't exposed. Swim suits and waders...
OK by me.

Re: Women in waders.... No! Not me!
That's all there is to it, Jen. I didn't think the pictures were in bad taste at all. In fact, I thought they were funny, knowing I'd most likely not see a sight like that on the river (in my dreams, maybe  )
I'd like to put one up at work, but it's such a sterile, politically correct atmosphere, I'd probably get fired.

Re: Women in waders.... No! Not me!
Geez, IT'S A CALENDAR !!!
The Women in Waders calendar is not "what's wrong with our society". Could I hang it in my house? No, but I know that, so I wouldn't try it. Is there anything wrong with YOU hanging it in your house? Not if it doesn't bother anybody. Now at work, that's another story....
You don't like it, don't buy it. That's how America works.
On another note, while I am not interested in the WIW calendar, could you please repeat this contest when the "Emu's in Waders" calendar comes out? Thanks.

FM2,
Maybe you have the answer to this one. What do think has caused more divorces? Fishing to much or looking at calendars of clothed women?
My answer would be fishing.
I believe that a person could create and support a good argument either way.

Re: Women in waders.... No! Not me!
Hmmm.
Maybe divorce rates are so high because everyone is trying to enforce their morals on everyone else? Maybe people are unhappy at home because they worry that everyone else is "doing something wrong" and this somehow affects their own life? Maybe people should just butt out of everyone else's life and look to their own?
Just some suggestions. I have a happy homelife because I understand and respect my wife and this attitude is returned to me. Maybe I would be able to hang the calendar in my house (probably more like the garage) but whether I can do this or not, this in no way affects anyone else.

Hopefully it would send the message that daddy is still packing around a loaded gun and is a MAN. It's ok for men to go to the zoo, have a few beers, and look at the *******.
Just because people have this and do that, don't rile their conscience. It matters where their hearts are. It's in the Book.
I've seen the calendar and met several of the women, and I think only a couple of months "impress" me.
Just chill out dude. Let he who is without sin cast first stone.

Re: Women in waders.... No! Not me!
Chill out guys. The only thing I saw FM2 doing was expressing his belief and how it fit in HIS life. It takes a real man to attack someone for standing up for what he believes in.
If you don't like what he has to say then ignore him. I ignore a lot of trash on here that I don't agree with.
I see FM2 get slammed a lot because he speaks up about what he believes in.
Well, from what I see it's OK to speak up about what you believe in as long as it isn't good old Christian morals. You can post all the trashy, brainless, south park type humor that you want. But you better watch out if you are going to post anything about morals or God, you might get crucified.

South Park may be trashy, but it certainly isn't brainless. Most of the plot lines on the show are (admittedly low brow) parodies of current topics and events. The funny thing is I almost always agree with the basic premise of each episode. Matt Stone and Trey Parker are my heros.

Re: Women in waders.... No! Not me!
FM2...I know what you're trying to say, and I applaud you for those beliefs...I am also proud to be a Christian.
Here's my take... people are drooling over the ladies in that calenday (myself included). You dont think the calendar is right for married people, causes ill will, etc., and shouldnt be displayed in their homes out of respect. I mostly agree with you. However, I think where people are slamming you is that if you re-read your post, it comes across as being pointed towards every other poster on this message thread....not just you voicing your opinions. Its silly that its caused this much of an uproar, but I think that's probably the issue. Just food for thought for ya brother. I voice a LOT of my opinions...but am very cognizant of the fact that MY opinions are not the same for all people, not even for other Christians. All that said, I'd just say that we should ALL be more careful about the wording of posts, so that we dont offend others accidentally. (by the way...did you look at the link?? if so...why? you know what it is, so shouldnt you not even look at it?? perhaps though you didnt, and that's totally cool that you have your beliefs and live them as you preach them...I applaud you for that if that's the case)
As for me...my wife would laugh if I put that up in my office at home. First of all she is secure in our relationship. Secondly, she knows there is nothing "erotic" about a woman in waders...its just silly. Sure, some are pretty hot, but the concept makes it funny, not sexy....at least in MY OPINION. I'm sure the other perv-freaks on this board would disagree (that part was a joke in case anyone missed the sarcasm).

Re: Women in waders.... No! Not me!
Attacking people's beliefs isn't necessary, nor will it get you anywhere.
If you want the calendar, play the game, if you don't want the calendar, don't play the game.
It appears that there are just some issues that text isn't subtle enough to deal with. Too easy to say things that can be taken the wrong way.
I think it's time to move on... I'm going to close this thread.
Grace and peace to you all.

Re: Women in waders.... No! Not me!
Thanks Tanner for the support but I am used to being attacked for what I believe in. Everyone is free to believe in whatever their desires are, free to express themselves in whatever manner they choose, are free to display whatever they think is appropiate, so to each is their own. I certainly don't post here to be judged or attacked, I post here like many that do regarding fishing topics and the occasional non-fishing related topics. If someone feels the inclination to slam a believer, well so beit. It doesn't change my position as I believe there is a higher power and life did not happen by chance.
I have met many Christians on this board and have enjoyed the time I spent fishing with them. I'm sure there will also be more. Persecution comes with the territory and I won't subscribe to the world view of what is right or wrong. I have my guidlines but I'm not sinless, I have faults but there is a difference between intentional sin and non-intentional. My heart is full of goodness and if folks took the time to see that, I don't think there would be condemnation. I would be the first person to give someone the shirt off my back, the first person to give assistance in time of a crisis, the first person to pick up someone when they are down so my belief is a good thing for others, not a negative.
I enjoy reading all the great info but you know where I stand
