My wife, father-in-law and I took our canoe out last weekend and picked up some nice trout. Paula's dad struck first and picked up a trout while we trolled a spinner. The wind picked up and the temperature dropped a bit, so we decided to park the canoe and toss out some Powerbait in the sun. Paula's first cast from the bank and BAM! Fish on! Nice keeper trout!
We fished for a while longer, but eventually packed it up. We went back down to the lake in the evening to try and get the evening bite. Paula was still red hot and picked up another big trout, a small trout and lost a third big trout at the bank!
Both her dad and I got decent sized trout, too, but Paula outfished everyone! It was a great time and a tasty dinner, too!
Great looking trout! Nicely done, if you don't mind me asking what lake is that?
