Default QuadraBeam transducer makes a roster tail

Hi I need some help! I just installed my Humminbird 787 Fish Finder with a QuadraBeam transducer. It Works great but when I go fast in the boat over 10 miles hour I have a nice roster tail in the back of the boat. Water is spraying into the motor and the back of the boat. I installed the transducer like Instructions said. It is just below the bottom of the boat. What can I do to help? Should I lower it? Should I Raise it up? I need to call Humminbird.
Thank you Larry

Cool Re: QuadraBeam transducer makes a roster tail

I would try raising it slightly and tipping the front end down ...
I checked out a couple of other sites for a similar problem and they all either moved it up or fashioned a spray guard for it ... Good Luck ...
