Default Lewis River

Hey everyone,I just got off the phone with a friend of mine from work.He just got back from the Lewis He say there is a whole NEW RUN IN,there catching silvers(BRIGHT) and some great STEELHEAD !!!,I guess the river is pretty high not a lot of room on the gravel bar at the hatchery but thats where there catching them.I'm committed to hunting for the next few days with my son and a couple buddys, but as soon as I can I'm heading up that way. He's caught 9 silvers in the last few days and 5 steelhead one was 19 lbs
just thought you would like to know.He said the water was almost as high as the flume the fish go up at the hatchery so its pretty high.Go GETTEM!!!
Bob

Default Re: Lewis River

Bob,
Went yesterday and saw some unreal snagging techniques !! Dude even hooked a chrome steelie in the belly . We saw some new steelies, and plenty of boot silvers, with a few that might have been good for the cooler. Lots with mold on their backs. It was good to see the new winters and some nice summers tho.. Good luck ! It was pretty close to 1 1/2 ounce water for the middle buckets, 1 inside was doing good. YELL at the guys throwin in the pond !!!!!
