Default What ever happened to Ed?

I remember back in the late 80's-early 90's, there was a gentleman by the name of Ed Mcquary who was a local steelheader/columnist. He also had a little weekly radio show. I believe the columns he wrote for the Oregonian, and his radio show were called "Fishing with McQ".
If I remember right, he was an upper Wilson river kind of a guy, hated crowds, and lived in Lake Grove.
My wife decided she needed the closet where I kept all my old fishin' stuff more than I did, and while cleaning it out, I found a booklet from a fishing seminar of his I attended way back in 1990 or so.
I realized that I haven't heard or seen anything of him for quite a while.
Anybody know what happened to him?

McQ is still here and fishing as usual. I talked to him about 6 months ago to ask him to speek at a meeting. He said that he has withdrawn form speeking for now and was feeling burned and burned out from political issues.
