Default Sitka Gear Clothing

Was wondering what you guys or gals think about Sitka gear? Looking for a durable BREATHABLE set of camos for bow hunting! Any feed back would be great good or bad.

Thanks

The only thing that could be more breathable than the 90% series is cheesecloth. Breathability gets a 10, durability, probably a 9. Very, VERY comfortable stuff. Hard to say on durability until I actually rip it. Just last Saturday while scouting I caught cloth on rocks and stumps and excpected it to rip and nothing, so: so far, so good. I hunted with the 90% series all last season (jacket and pants)and just bought a downpour jacket- the downpour jacket is amazing- will have to get the downpour pants next. After a lifetime of wearing gortex and HH, I am finally dry out there.

I have their vest - I never take it off its the best layer for cold I have. I also have the Mountain shirt which I used almost all of last deer/elk/antelope season and really liked it. Just got the 90% jacket about a month ago, only had it on around the house but think it will be great. LIttle pricey for their stuff but I think its worth it.

I have the complete set of raingear---expensive (totally worth it) the vest, pants and 90% jacket. I have been completely satisfied with all of it! The 90% jacket is not all that windproof but is an awesome layering system. I used it the raingear in Quebec when the rain was completely sideways and never got a drop inside.

Like Dave said....durability has been excellent so far but I would not want to take the raingear through any briars i will use my Filson stuff for that. Pricey but gets a 10 rating from me

I'd be interested in trying some of their stuff, but don't have the quid to fork out. Anybody got a coupon for the stuff?

I got lucky on the downpour 07 jacket. I paid 219.00 at the Sportsman's Show (Janssen's is a great place to get SITKA). Reg. 275.00 and it goes up to 345.00 this year (slightly different design, though). I think they realised they have a good product and also learned how tough it is to find something that works in wet weather so they jacked the price. Nonetheless, I will get the pants- staying dry and warm is priceless!

90% series with base layers motionless: 45 to 65 degrees. With motion, 10 to 50 degrees. It seems to have a huge comfort window if you're moving, but it is NOT stand hunting clothing. I bought a Heater Body Suit and the combo of SITKA with the HBS is great for treestand hunting.

For warm weather try these you can buy 3 pairs of pants to one of the stika and they breath well dry fast and are treated to not stink. We wore them all last fall and they will pill in the black berries but I wore mine all last year and will be wearing them again this year. You should try on the stika pants prior to buying any they are fit differently and set lower on your hips I didn't like the fit.
