Default I\'m back !!

Did ya miss me uh uh !!,i just got back from elk hunting yesterday.Woke up to about 14 " of snow Tues, morning.Didn't get my elk shot at a bull but ended up killing a tree (sorry )I've got a lot of catching up to do.I guess there won't be much fishing going on untill this weather quits. The snow up around Troutlake, Wa. was awesome but the animals just found themselves a tree to hide under.I did find out after it was to late you hunters pay attn. to this.I have a Garmin 12 GPS guys and gals THEY DON"T WORK ANY BETTER THEN A COMPASS WHEN YOUR NEAR LAVA ROCKS they just go nuts and will lead you in a CIRCLE !!! mine finally got me out when I figured out what was going on.When your little speed ind. reads 00 and your moving the lava has affected your GPS,you just have to keep moveing in the direction your were going before it went nuts, when your speed inicator starts working again you can trust your guidence system is right and start following your arrow again.I had some pretty spooky moments out there for awhile.cus as you know it all looks the same in a lava field.I always carry a compass but it wouldn't have done me any good at the time either.I'm going to go up on large mountain next week and try to get me a deer.
Bob

Welcome back!
I have heard of more people this year that didn't get their elk.
A few that got very nice ones!
We missed ya, Dawhunt!
