Default gem of a river

On tuesday i had a chance to drift a small coastal river and what a beauty it was.I will not mention the rivers name but I can tell you the water was that first gin clear color after a good storm and the trees were no longer holding there leaves definately winter. This was my first drift down this river and it was to be about fishing and learning.I was surprised to see a pristine river seemingly untouched by the many spoils of man, clean gravel, unimproved banks, deep green pools of clean fresh water for the most of it.The first fish we encountered was not in our boat as we were passing another boat anchored up we noticed there rod bending in the shape of a fish after they netted this fish they quickly lifted up another they had taken earlier both on quickfish. The rest of the trip we drifted without any takers, but the river it'sself was enough for me,the fish will come later on another trip that i know. Today i think to myself what a treasure those local people have there and pray that it never gets ruined like so many other gems located in this great state. So people if you have a treasure like this of your own please take care of it I have often seen the results when you dont. fish clean and fish friendly P.S. thanks to the people who made this trip possiable and you know who you are
