Who's got this flu bug going around?

Holly smokes this thing is catchy.

1/4 of our work staff is out sick.
My sister, niece, nephew, father, brother-in-law ....
...and now I have it.

This one is hitting me hard. I've been down for 2 days.

My positive message to anyone else that has this:

Drink as much fluids as you can. Please, please try and eat a little something. Acetaminophen is good for taking the edge off the muscles and joints. Get your rest.
Get well soon.

It's a bad one. I was out of work two weeks ago for four days and still don't feel 100% (after almost two weeks). My daughter was home from school for over a week. The doctor confirmed it was the flu - just laughed - he said that we should have gotten a flu shot. He recommended alternating Advil and Tynelol every few hours and drinking lots of fluid. Alghough I'm not a big fan of the flu shot, I think I'll be getting one next year.

OH yeah I have the joy of having it this week. Saturday was the first day I started feeling a little sick. Saturday night it was really sick and sunday was HORRIBLE!!! The aches and pains alone were the worst. Today I am starting to feel human again but still can't eat anything but the good ole B.R.A.T. diet. I tried but no go. At least I may be on the downside. Anybody who gets it it is rough drink lots and lots of water or in my case Propel. (KIWI-Strawberry of course) and try to eat soft foods. Toast for me for two days but hey might be the best I have eaten in a month. Tough way to lose a few pounds. Anyway been there done that and DO NOT want to do it again. Tim

I had it a couple weeks ago and it was horrible. Like a real bad strep throat. To top it all off I woke up one morning and my eyes were RED, like severe pink eye red. I went to the doctor and apparently the virus spread to my eyes.

Heads up ya'll. Our oldest had this crud and we thought that he couldn't shake it. Then got a scare that his cancer may have returned with his blood counts WAY out of wack. Once confirmed it turned out that he was fighting mono! So if you're feeling really run down for too long and fighting a fever get checked! There are some nasty things that can happen if you push yourself too much when you have mono. I guess it has been going around with all the other crud too. Our pediatrician said they have seen more kids than they would ever like to see with it this year.

On the other hand for us at least, I'll take fighting mono any day over his cancer returning!!

Ive been weak with an upset stomach, chills, hot flashes, and sinus pressure for 1+ week. Do i have the right symptoms or do I have something else?

Cripes, I'm on version 3. I had the get hit by a truck version 3 weeks ago, the can't leave the bathroom version two weeks ago, and that version just came back for another visit today.

I too came down with this wonderful crud. I thought I would get on top of it quick. So day two I went to the doc. and got on meds, now four days later I am heading back. I am on the Z pack, tylonol, and advil. Still running a fever of 101-102. Nasty stuff. I did get a flu shot. I may be getting mono. I hope not. I feel for everyone. Good luck getting ride of this crud.

I guess the only good news is that March is usually about the end of the flu season.

Sounds like what I had except for the hot flashes. Mostly Chills and body aches for me. Sinus pressure was HORRIBLE too. Could also be a sinus infection too though I have had one of those this year too, but it didn't accompany the rest of the symptomes just sinus pressure. Take it easy and rest. Good luck. Tim

I got it last week- just had a mild cold on Sunday- felt better Monday and Tuesday, then Wednesday, Thursday, Friday I was hit so hard 102-103 temp, , been years since I have been hit so hard by a bug. Forced myself up and out Monday to do this bus trip to Seattle and I am just now startin to feel better. For what it's worth, over the counter Theraflu seemed to offer some releif for me. worth a shot. But for those three days, I swear a big hole and pine box was an appealing alternative.
