Default Prawn Spinner from the Bank

Can I fish a prawn spinner from the bank, or is a spin-glo the best choice? Dad and I are fishing Woodland bar tomorrow.

...or use a big spherical cork to float it up off the bottom. This is good for the summer chinook-if we get a season this year- using big copper spinners plunking. You can also use it to float a rigged herring off the bottom from the bank.

Tried plunking a prawn spinner today in 18' of water off of kalama bar.
I don't use a wire to hold prawn, just the hooks and stretchy thread and I use wingless spinglo to float spinner, It's rigged upside down to limit resistance to the current keeping it in the strike zone.
I used 22" from spinglo to spinner and it worked great but no hits today..will try again mid week.
set-up is two 3/0 gami's, #4 brass blade, 5 and 6 millimeter sized beads, a plastic interchangeable blade clevis. 22" leader, barrel swivel, 30" leader on spinglo to a 10oz pyramid sinker on a 8" sliding leader.
