Default Fisrst Winter Fish 08

Not much to brag about...I know. Still, on the swing with a flyrod. Tough year. Third trip first to the bank, second take of the season (not counting the local nymph fishery). Broke more oars than landed fish this winter.

I saw your comments on the winter steelhead challenge. While it may be a little small, but it's chrome and has great lines. Hope it was a good fighter.

Nice job! Thanks for posting it.

Have to agree with everyone that any steelhead is a good steelhead. Nice fish, thanks for sharing your success.

Any fish on the swing is awesome during the winter. This season has been dismal and all but one was caught in December. At least your first of the year was not a kelt like mine. . Great job!

Cool Re: First Winter Fish 08

Nice, bright fish.

Killerdave won the competition in February with a 29-inch fish. It's been a slow run this year.

Nice fish. I appreciate seeing fish, even when I don't get out.

Good looking fish and I'm pretty sure I know that water. From whatI have experienced there this year and from what the ODFW guys were telling me about the minimal returns I'm wondering if the fish are later this year. I may take another trip there to humble myself.

Hopefully. March was good last year. Recent flows may drive some fish up.
