Don’t Spoil – Your Bird Dog!
Call me a Softy! But this is his way of telling me that he had fun hunting also.
This was taken after a long day Chukar hunting. I’m not sure who fell asleep first?

Re: Don’t Spoil – Your Bird Dog!
My dog loves to lay on me on the couch after a long day of ducking...I think it is just part of it. I wouldn't trade it.

Re: Don’t Spoil – Your Bird Dog!
I read a book on dog training once (Water Dog?). The author said that when sizing up the competition at a field trial, not to worry about the guy with the $10K dog trailer; worry about the guy with the dog that rides with him in the front seat. Great Pic!

Napping with the master after the hunt, part of the whole deal.

Re: Don’t Spoil – Your Bird Dog!
Yeah, I also see no problem with that.
My favorite is when he's sleeping and I can use his belly as a pillow!

Same here. My GSP fell asleep on the couch, so I layed down and used him as a pillow. He kinda looked up at me for a sec and then went back to sleep.

Love that photo.
You know, I bet that dog would really dig a corn dog!

Re: Don’t Spoil – Your Bird Dog!
I have a GSP and he loves to sleep with me also. After a long hunt he is usually the first to go to sleep on the bed.
I don't mind. He is definatley my BUDDY!! and I wouldn't trade him for anything!!!

Re: Don’t Spoil – Your Bird Dog!
Camping out, during pheasant season with my dog. Only time she gets up on the "bed". Really a great part of the whole experience.
