Default Evergreen Golf Course in Mt Angel

Anybody played there recently or ever? just curious how the course is. I have to be in salem on sunday and was thinking about swinging out there for a 9/18, any other options close to salem that are better?

thanks,

Been about 4 years since I've played it. Nice little 9 hole course. Some challenging holes, some easy holes.
Notoriously mushy during the winter and spring when it rains.
Cross Creek close to Dallas would be my preference over Evergreen if I were leaving from Salem.

website says they put in 7,000 yards of drainage equipment so maybe that helped with the soggyness?

A friend of mine is the General Manager at that course. I think he took over w/in the last four years and they've done a lot of improvements since then so drainage issues may have gotten addressed. It's a nice setting and fun course. I'm not very good so I get to explore more of the course than most when I play.

most of it is pretty much an up and back , wide open course. Except for the holes on the boundries there is room for errent balls and you can find them. Theres a quirky shared tee on two holes and a challenging par 3 over a gulley-7 I think. There is a pond that is in play on two fo the holes. It lays dead ahead on one of your t-shots at the dogleg-so if you overly long and hit it straight- your swimmin
