Default Nestucca trip... Will we or won\'t we?

I have been waiting FOREVER to fish the Nestucca with ifish guide, Marty Peterson.
Finally, thanks to Thumper, that is going to become a reality on Wednesday. Or will it?
But will the rivers be blown out? WILL THEY?
Guided trips... What happens?
Guides, what is the most times you have been forced to reschedule, due to weather and rivers blown out?
Do you just keep on rescheduling? That must be tough! Winter steelhead trips can turn into Springer trips, yes?
I had never thought of this as a guiding challenge, but oh... what a challenge!
Both for the guide and the clients!
I am so pumped about Wednesday!!!
SO PUMPED!
I want to go so badly!
Jen

I think you caught your quota for the week already. Has there been any winters caught yet on the Nestucca??? Ask Marty! I plan to get down there this week and try to get a early steelie. Good fishing y'all.

I was wondering the same thing? Its about time for some winter fish to start making an apperance. I'm gonna float it this week too, rain permiting.... Funny how after what seems like an eternity of waiting for rain one finds himself wishing it would let up for a couple of days.

Sorry Jen, Bill and Thumper...

...Very, very marginal conditions. Any more rain and it will be a wash out! I'd rather you have a shot at catching a fish than going for a boat ride.

The good news is, YES THE STEELIES ARE STARTING TO SHOW UP!!! After this last shot of rain there were fresh winters caught on Three Rivers and also the mouth on the big river by bank anglers.

I only know of one fish taken today on the Nestucca, and it wasn't in my boat !

Bring on them Steelhead! I'm ready!

Jen:

I am told that chocolate cakes freeze very well. Perhaps that would be a better strategy than eating it yourself. None for Mark!

I will eat it myself....
I will eat it myself...
mantra...
I have to.
It's good for the non fishing blues.
I will make another one! And one for Mark too! And one for Marty, and one for....

Hey Jen,
Don't forget Cameron and I. We like chocolate cake. ( In a bowl with milk poured over it. YUM)

Jen,

It has taken me up to 6 months to get people out because of having to get the clients schedules matched up with the rivers'.

I canceled today's trip becuase of rising water and these same guys had to be canceled last Friday becuase of mud.
