HOT TAMALE OUTDOOR SHOW NOW SHOWING ON VANCOUVER PUBLIC ACCESS CHANNEL 11

Many of you in the Vancouver WA. viewing area have asked Scott to show his programs in our market.

I have help Scott obtain 4 viewing times starting this week to be shown on channel 11.

The shows air as follows:

Monday 6:30 pm
Tuesday 10:30 pm
Friday 9:00 pm
Saturday 7:30 pm

This week's show is "Firstcast Jigs on the Wilson River."

In the next 3 weeks the following programs will be shown:

Winter steelheading on the Umpqua
Steelheading on the Clackamas with Dave Johnson
Willemette River Sturgeon.

Due to the scheduling differences between the Portland and Vancouver Public access channels the programs in each viewing area are different, so if you start to discuss a program, remember that the other cable channel is airing different segments.

Scott and I hope to have this resolved by January 2002 so the same shows are aired in the same week.

Remember that the programs in Vancouver will be shown on channel 11

Vancouver viewers will want to tune in for the very begining of the program for an amusing moment. Towards the end you'll ask the question, "What about those white counters?"

Is this only available for those with Cable? I don't have cable and I don't think I get channel 11.

Thanks for remembering my birthday Jennie. I beleive the first show to be aired was taped last April on the Wilson for Winter steelhead. They're all fun to watch.

Hi Mark,enjoyed the the show.One question tho did
anyone else out there have trouble with the sound,I had to turn my volume WAAY up to hear you guys when the show ended it about blew me and the dogs right out of the house.I want to thank GIS for getting the show over here.I've been wanting to see it for a long time now,Its great haveing a local fishing show again.I understand these guys don't use coat hangers either :grin: I'm looking forward to seeing more.HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARK looking forward to getting more of your jigs.

I would really like to catch the shows. Can anyone tell me when or if they air in Newberg? I haven't been able to find them yet.

Hello,

First of all...you need to have Cable to get the show. A satellite Dish does not work, unfortunately.

Secondly, No, we are not in Newberg but could be with your assistance. If you know the cable operator, get ahold of them and see what it takes to air a show Not Produced in their Studios. They may say it's OK to do that but you need a "Sponsor", much like Gizmo Man is is Vancouver. He Lives there and that what it takes to become a sponsor...you must live in that cable area. I am actively looking for "Sponsors" in Salem, Tillamook, and elsewhere. Any ideas let me know.

I also want to thank Jennie for helping support the show. This show is Not for Profit. Everything it takes to make this show comes out of My Pocket. This consists of Time, Tapes, Editing, Schooling, and so on. It's a hobby. I like being able to put together a fun and educational program aimed at fishing/hunting enthusiasts.

Scott: did I mention that my franchise fee is only $25,000 per eposide aired on free cable... :smile: :grin: :tongue: so get out there and get some advertisers

I am glad I could help Scott with his project. If others want to see his shows then you need to go to your cable provider and ask about hosting a show on their public access channel, much like what we did here in Vancouver.

If you enjoy the show, call the cable company and let them know.

I have made some videos for guide friends of mine who show them at sports shows to promote there business. I know it takes a lot of after the fun work to bring the show to air. There are many hours of editing and prep time to pull these off.

For Scott to continue to do them is a tribute to his dedication to his sport of fishing.

Scott,
I watched your show last night on portland cable access about 9:00 p.m. It was not on First Cast Jigs on the Wilson.It was Duck hunting and in Newberg and goose hunting outsid Forest Grove. It was alright if your into shotting Ducks and Geese , but , I was counting on some Fishing Techniques with Mark anderson. Could you let me know times and dates for this Show? Thanks Scott

HB: Please go back and re read my first post. Portland shows differnt programs than Vancourver that is the reason for the difference.

Also, occasionally Vanc. Public Access picks up the Portland show like they did this week and last. (I got to watch the duck and geese hunting show in Vancouver even though we did not give Van. a tape.) This is outside the control of Scott and myself and is an added bonus for Vanc viewers who happen to check chan. 11 at 9pm on Mondays.

Go to Scott's web page for a schedule of what is showing in the two areas.

Its like going to two different movie theaters. You don't know what's play or the times unless you check the schedule for the theater you pick. (our times in Van. are set for the next few months.)
