Did any early trip down to Westport today in hopes of intercepting a Springer.

We didn't touch a fish and no one else around did either (the few that were there).

Water clarity is just OK at about 15" but the real problem is the water temp. We measured 40 degrees at the surface and 37 degrees below. Marked fish all day and even found a ledge with several stacked up but couldn't get a bite.

Sure was surprised by the water temp.
