Qwest Head ache
I left qwest last November, many a call, they even asked me why I was over charged for services, all but the 59.95 has been taken care of, + the modem I sent back as when we took it out I bought it, no rent, sent back, and to this day no 59.95 coming back to me.
It gets better, qwest owes me $600.00 for over charges, and now today, and I talked to them last Thursday, when I called the recording said you owe 8.55 cents.
Today in the mail, I got a letter from some collection company for $221.00?????
Yea, I try ed to call but it's 7:00 at this time, they have gone home.
Anyone one out there have a number in Portland I can call tomorrow and get this handled???????
I don't want to talk to my attorney, as he just wants my money.
Thanks "Norski" aka Leif Akerson.

Re: Qwest Head ache
I've always used their customer service number 1-800-244-1111
I don't think that one is Portland but maybe Seattle?

Re: Qwest Head ache
Sorry, Norski!! Qwest shut down their Portland Customer Service office October of 2006. I don't think there is a Seattle or Phoenix Customer Service offices, either....
The 1-800 number goes back east to Minnesota or Boise, Idaho. Keep trying until ya get a human voice.
At least you are not talking to India......yet.

Re: Qwest Head ache
Thanks Juddi, I called Seattle yesterday, and was transfered to Utah, now after 8,9,11 calls, and 1 hour on my cell phone, I was able to talk to someone in the know.
I got a call today, and we came to a end.
I said send me the bill------$6.33 cents.
I well take up the over charges when I get the print out of all of last years bills.
I think they see there mistake, and want to back way back, and think I well just be happy.
I could see 1 month at 59.95, but not 11==== $659.45
Check your bills, it took me 11 months to catch this.

Re: Qwest Head ache
I wish I could say I was supprised. Nothing but a headache with them, but not sure any of the other regional dial tone companies are any better.
I managed the telco side of things at my last company... wow, I surely do not miss that! I just moved into a short-term rental before our big move to Nashville. Gave QWest the shot on phone + DSL since I didn't want to have to come back twice for two different companies installing stuff during the work day. The day before the install got a call saying that while they do offer DSL in the area, they were out of capacity and may be a month or more before I could get it. Since the wife works from home I told them no thanks and called Comcast. Got 8M cable internet for $29.99/mo and installed the next work day. I should have called them to begin with.
Oh, yeah... QWest still shipped me my DSL router, so now I have to pay to return it. Nice.
