Many thanks to Fish Hunter for taking me out to the Fishery in his beautiful boat. We had a great time and caught some fish. Nothing better than fighting sturgeon on salmon rods. Wind was a problem for most of the day but I managed to nail a 44" keeper around 9. Weather got worse and so we ended up having to look around for a new spot. We found it. 10 minutes and two keepers. Wow! FH had a 44" just slam his bait and a 45" soon followed on my rod. Smelt seemed to be the ticket, but they also bit squid and shrimp. Got home in time to help my dad clean his trophies of the day. He had 2 late season deer tags and filled them w/ a doe and a 4x4 buck. I guess it was a great day for everyone! Thanks again for the trip FH. You're a wonderful host and a great guy. You have a spot in the DB anytime for winter steelies.

Glad to have a skilled fisherman and boat hand like your self out for the day. Lets do it again some time. Can't wait for winter steelies. Think your Dad had us beat for pounds of meat collected for one day, wow nice blacktail rack! :shocked:
