Default Washougal

Got my drift boat wet today drifted from Hathaway park to the bowling alley took about 5 hrs. only thing caught was 4 little smolt.Didn't see any fish dodgeing the boat nor did we see any jumping anywhere !!.Its still a little early for steelhead but I've been hearing about some being caught. We used everything but dynamite, oh well its still felt good to be fishing. That East wind could have died down just a little tho then it would have even been nicer. Am I omplaing, maybe just a little ,I have to admit I didn't use my Amerman eggs tho I'm saving them for when the fish are relly here   FISH ON !!!!

Hey Dawhunt, sorry to hear that you didn't have more luck, but it sounded like a good time anyway.
Question: I noticed that they just upped the Coho limit to 6 on the Washougal for a "late hatchery run." What's the status on that? I'm not familiar with the Washougal at all, but after seeing that I might have one last shot at a chrome Silver I was curiously optimistic. Thanks for any insight...

My neighbor was down at the oak park bridge this afternoon said he saw some fish come in,he was guessing maybe 30 fish.the water is clear as a bell you can see every rock in the river and there's a ton of leaves comeing down now so I'd guess if there in the river there pretty spooked. We didn't see one fish today that don't mean they there not here, there just not where we were :depressed: .I think this is whats left of an old native run there trying to get rid of ??? They know more then mother nature you know...But you would think with a six fish limit the river would be full of fish ??.I'm getting ready for
for muzzleloading deer and elk this comeing week but if the river doesn't get blown out with the comeing rain there should be plenty of good fish
HOPEFULLY !!!Good Luck
Bob
