Seahawks new running backs
I think Shaun Alexander is done in Seattle. Seattle just signed Julious Jones from the Cowboys to a 4 year deal and T.J. Duckett to a 5 year deal. I would hate to see him go but thats how fast injuries can turn somebody's career around for the worst. Thats going to be a good 1-2 punch for Seattle.

Re: Seahawks new running backs
I still think Jonathon Stewart will be around when Seattle picks. If he is, julius jones would make for some good chum (trade bait) come next season after J-Stew gets a year under his belt. But whoever ends up with Stewart , they will be a much better team because of it. If he is available when the seahawks turn comes up, and they pass on him. then that will be the straw that breaks the camels back for me.

I dunno, they seem to have spent their dough for RBs this year between those two guys, J stew can be an immediate starter in the league (RB is the easiest position to transition from college to the pros) I think the JJ signing means Stewart's not on their radar.

I agree beside mcfadden i think J Stew is the most ready for the NFL out of all the backs coming out this year. He will make an immediate impact with who ever gets him. Come on Paul Allen we need an NFL team in Oregon .

Re: Seahawks new running backs
Injuries - sminjuries!
Shawn A. got the big contract and stopped working. Never seen someone fall down before arm tackles or with arm tackles as bad as he did these last two season. Every one in the league had him down a big puss after the two years behind Winstrom.
Good riddens.
I got sympathy for injuries but Shawn rolled over at the sight of a hit. No wonder he got injured, not hard to miss a target laying on the ground.

Re: Seahawks new running backs
Speaking of injuries, Stewart has been injury prone all thru college. Dont be surprised when he gets hurt in training camp, or the first couple games. He will not be a major factor in the league ever!!

I know its only his first year but look at Adrian Peterson. He was injury prone too. J-Stew is just one of those that might be worth risking.

I like Shawn, but his game has been off the last several years.

Re: Seahawks new running backs
Maybe they finally get rid of "I Only Play During Contract Years". $63,000,000 down the drain.
Maybe I will renew my season tickets one more year.
Anyone want to split them. Pm me for details.

Re: Seahawks new running backs
The Seahawks running game was just fine before they let offensive lineman Steve Hutchinson escape through free agency to Minnesota. Shoulda franchised him . Last season he was blocking for Adrian Peterson. Walter Jones and Hutchinson were regarded as the best left side blocking tandem in the NFL and blew open the holes for Alexander to run through when the Seahawks went to the Superbowl. Walter was even willing to renegotiate his contract to keep Steve in Seattle. When Mack Strong had to retire because of injury things got even worse.
Most of the running backs in the league are capable of gaining a 1000 yards a season behind solid offensive line blocking. The Seahawks better improve theirs or it'll be the same ol' story next season. No hole...no gain.

Re: Seahawks new running backs
I agree about the o-line. Emmitt Smith was a mediocre running back with one of the best offensive lines ever put together. Without a decent offensive line you can't run the ball, unless you had Barry Sanders.
