Default New Wiggle Warts

Has anybody had a chance to try the new wiggle warts? Since Normark-Rapala bought Storm out your no longer able to get the old wiggle warts? They have a fused on bill instead of a solid piece. I've casted them just to see how they run, and they run very nice, no tuning, and they're a little heavier and dive a little deeper. The paint jobs look like all of the Rapala plugs. I'm worried about the bills coming off, like the Hog Boss. For me the verdict is still out. Has anybody had any success.

I purchased one a couple weeks ago, green tiger stripe .. Hooked one steelie and three silvers on it. I like the new plugs , seem to run true and has a nice paint finish .. The old warts can **** a guy off , I have had some that no matter how you tuned it it wouldn`t run true ..

According to an older thread on the Piscatorial Pursuits board, the Wiggle Wart line has been purchased by Brad Schoenborn (any relation to Larry?).

The new ones are being called Brad's Wigglers, to be available in February.

To bad Brad can't keep his name off of things and come up with marketable names....

Did he purchase the company or just the right to use the NW appropriate colors...I have heard it both ways.

I have heard great things about the new wiggle warts as far as running true...but I bought a good amount of the old ones before so I won't be in the market for awhile.

I just met with Brad and here is the real story.
Brad tried to purchase the old molds with no success. There are other details I rather not share at this time. Anyway, the old style wiggle warts (Now Brad's Wiggler)are being made as I am typing this. They are the exact size of the wiggle wart with the same action. To start with there will be 14 original colors and 3 new ones. I should have some in my possession by next Friday. You may see some at Fisherman's Marine or G.I. Joes by Christmas, but it may be after the 1st of the year.

The new wiggle warts (Plastic lip) seem to dive deeper, but they have little side to side action like the old wiggle warts. However, I haven't tried them much.

Also, Mag Warts should be out by Spring.
