Default Favorite Tuna Rod

I'd like to get an idea of what rods tuna seekers use.
What is yours?

for trolling I use Calstar 765M, For casting I use a CalStar 800L, For live bait I go with a CalStar 270 or 870.

If they're close & it's just a matter of getting a live bait in the water I like my 646 with 30 lb. mono.

Seeker 670 for trolling, 870 for casting...... I have a 270, that is fun, but works ya a little bit more.

I like the 870 best.....

The one with the fish on it.........

I have six rods suitable for tuna and no two are alike. They range from 7 to 7 1/2 feet. Some have roller guides, some have ceramic and some have both. All have a very light tip and stiff butts. All are e-glass with the exception of one CalStar hybrid.

I'm certainly not suggesting this as a goto tuna rod, but me and my crew have the most fun with a freshwater bass type rod with a trigger. The reel is a Daiwa SL20SH with straight 15# mono. The rod is plenty stiff in the butt, and casts a small swimbait a mile. We've done 30# tuna with it.

If I have to troll, 765ML.

My all time favorite is 270 w/ newell 229 and bait or plastics, now thats fun, later on in the season this outfit does get kinda light. 870 for late season or iron
