Default Little things: swivels, snaps and split rings

It's the little things that matter in catching fish, right?

Swivels: black ones, McMahons, brass twisties, bead chain - I use the black anodized ones for sliders, bead chains when there is a likelihood of weeds and McMahons for big fish.

Snaps: I don't even know what they are called. The only ones I use are the ones packaged with Kwikfish. Are they good for anything?

Split rings: There's one kind that have a bevelled end on the wire, but I can't find a source for them. The ones commonly available have a rough edge that can snag the line. Who sells the good ones?

Pete,

I love those duo lock snaps, they are very versatile! I buy the snap and swivel combo (always black) from Cabelas. You can use them together or separate them into just a barrel and a snap. The first has obvious standard use and the second is perfect for riggin up a sliding combo with an EZ-Glider or a leader for plugs. I get all my "little stuff at Cabelas because I can get quality, quanitity at good prices.

What has Cabella's done for your Mad River fishery, the losses of Redwood Creek or the Smith River fishery lately?

Buy local, support local efforts to improve our and sustain our sport.

Buy Cabella's, make someone in Nebraska richer.

You decide.

Cabelas has left more money in my pocket which is always first and foremost. Our local tackle shops are not doing anything for any of those systems you mentioned, they are just lining their own pockets at the anglers expense! I do plenty for rivers and fisheries every day that I get up and go to work.

Cabelas = in stock + great prices plus quality products.
I have been buying swivels since I was paying 1.43 for a box of 10 12 packs of No. 10's. Great swivels......
