Rogue,
That could ruin your day in a hurry. So do they ever try to recover them or do they just wait till they wash up on shore? Scary stuff!

Remember the load of cedar shingles lost some 20 years ago?
I made planters, bird feeders, had a ball picking them off the beach.
Then the tennis shoes?
I think I'll leave the logs....

Did somebody say 12,000 logs? That is the figure on the news last night.

Default Be careful on the coast

Lost Log Load Poses Threat To Boats, Beachcombers
Tugboat Loses Load In 20-Foot Swells
Officials are warning coastal boaters and beachcombers to be especially careful around the north Oregon coast.

A tugboat hauling logs spilled its load in the ocean, losing 400 bundles of logs, when it encountered 20-foot swells.

There were no injuries in the incident, but the logs are still out at sea. Officials believe the logs could hit boats or wash ashore and strike beachgoers.

If anyone sees on the news when these start to get spotted, post it here.
It's interesting...
I sure hope they don't cause injury to any crafts or people.
Let's keep an eye out. Of course, I don't know many people out boating today... But beach combing could be really scary!

I heard last night a prediction for the landfall location. The Coast Guard was predicting the logs would come ashore near Cape Falcon on the north coast.

Hmmmmmm ....

I wonder if it will be safe to clam on Long Beach Friday night?
