Default Flood stage tech?

Well, let's here it. I just don't think there is a reason to sit home and do yard work or watch football when the rivers are at 10+ feet. We can do it! I'll be rigging up a 75lb anchor for the back of my boat for starters.

Big Willie,
Break out the sandbags. Rescue helicopter will be there shortly. Send up flairs, just don't aim at the chopper!

What's this...you guys will take on bouy 10 at the mouth of the worlds most dangerous river bar but you won't take on an inland river?

Fine...then I'm not going either.

I got talked into floating the Wilson some years back when it was "9" on the guage. I thought we were nuts...but we went anyway. Got 2 fish that day and there was hardly any traffic. Kinda cool. The water was starting to turn green, and we could see fish moving up the river in the grass along the shoreline.

So...what are they gonna do..get out and walk??

Not.

Just be careful if you float in high water...it can be dangerous.

Oh fine, now I gotta find copper colored eggs Actually I bought a couple of those special Quickfish the guide shop had a few years ago, they were black, dark green and kinda coppery colored, hmmmm, what's that I remember from the spinner seminar......if I remember right we caught Chums on them.
I guess since most rivers are blown out we now are going to forget about the Sturgeon.?

Today, the best action was to troll bait-wrapped K-16's along HWY 101 between Fred Meyer and Safeway. Best bite was near McDonalds on the incoming.

Tilla, its weird but the sturgeon bite on the Columbia is awesome when the rivers are blown. I go back and forth all winter. Fish for ike when the rivers are green and dropping and fish for gators when the rivers are blown.

Add a worm to your smelt with stretch thread when the water is brown.
