Default Electric Hauler Meltdown..

Finally got the electric shrimp pot hauler back on-line with the dual 50 amp quick-stop breakers...

For those of you with the Cushman Boats / Ez haulers...Take a good look at those (the quickstops) for corossion every now and then, the posts go first and allow water to get inside the potting. failure mode is not pretty..LOOKS and smells a LOT like welding...

Next stop is seat installation , some trailer work (always) and a test run before BC shrimp and hali....only a month or so away..

Ya got me worried! I've got one of the cushman pot pullers.

Are you saying that it's the posts on the breakers that corroded?

Guess I better check mine next trip to the boat.
thanks

The quick-stops are mounted to the alu bar that goes on the + battery post. there are 4 threaded shafts, those corrode and the surface corossion allows moisture into the quickstop..
