Default Hunting Team

Well by this coming archery season I will have about a $4000 camera set up to film hunts. I’m looking for an extra person that may want to join my group of friends to film mainly Blacktail’s and Roosevelt’s; but wouldn’t mind other species. If you are close to the Albany/Corvallis area and are a hard core, year round hunter, and wouldn’t mind leaving your weapon behind to take turns filming. Give me a PM.

Good luck man...

You cannot believe how many people will tell you that want to do it but two things, make that three come into play.

A) They have a wife who thinks that you are using their husband for your personal gain

B) Which is the biggest problem - finding someone who is willing to put their weapon aside and carry a camera.

C) Its easier to convert a hunter into a cameraman than a cameraman into a hunter. You cameraman should have a good idea of the game you are hunting and what it takes to be concealed while still capturing the footage.

P.S. - I just remembered this one - Showing up!

Lucky for me I have a friend who has a good eye for the camera and never turns the thing off. He doesnt talk into the camera when filming and he knows that the most important part to capturing a hunt is constantly changing batteries and tapes.

We just finished filming a goose hunt. It took us three days total and now we have 11 tapes of footage to make a 22 minute show.

PM me if you'd like. I can give you some good information if you are going to start filming. Good luck!

It can be tougher than people think.

Wil made some great points!
You need to find somebody who will do the videographical justice you yourself would do if you were behind the camera!
