Just a reminder for those of us who have forgotten what a salmon looks like because our brains have developed longfinitis. (not the fish-head holding it)..

Yep, the pull is hard, and we catch SO MANY of them.

The above pic is for you too Dave, so the next time I wanna whack a few salmon on the way in from the tuna grounds, you'll remember what they look like.

Check Page C 5 of the Sunday Oregonian if you want another view of a February Springer.

Bill Monroe was johnny on the spot, trolling right next to us when my rod went crooked.

Thanks Bill!

Thuan, I'm glad I could get you out today. Too bad it wasn't a picnic with all the boat traffic, the rain, the wind, and no fish in the boat. (Hmmm, typical of springer fishing ) Guess the mojo was expended yesterday. We'll go again soon.

Nope, it tasted like the tastiest salmon you can imagine, but I did manage to get the boat bloody while carking it.

Dean, if ya spent a little time fishing the poison once in a while you'd know they are like the fables of bigfoot. But then again according to you if it ain't saltwater it ain't fishing.
