Wild elk? Small elk farm on Hwy 212 between

Damascus and Boring, on the West side of the road.

I have been seeing a yearling elk on the outside of the fence, three times now in the last tow weeks. Always looking in.
I saw three head standing by fence and looking in about four years ago.
The fences are high and tight, I can't really see one escaping.
So my question is, Are these elk wild?
Someone will have the answer I'm sure.

I frequent that area a lot throughout the year and have spoken with the owners and they always assure people if its on the outside its wild. Theirs all have ear tags. There are usually a few hanging out during the rut.

I saw some elk on the outside of the fence about a week ago and was wondering the same thing. The real funny thing about it was there was a guy running a cat in the same field about 20 yards away from the "wild" elk and they didn't even care. They just stood there looking through the fence at the farm elk without a care in the world.
