Default siwash hook Q\'

When replacing the stock trebles on hot shots, and warts I have heard many theories. I can't find any "owner" siwash hooks. I do have lots of 2/0 "all purpose bait hooks" made by owner, will these work?? They are kinda like an octopus but straiter.

Thanks

Sean

You might take a look at the Owner spinnerbait hooks. They look similar to siwash, but I haven't seen any firsthand to know for sure.

If you cant find Owners try Gammis, Vision or VMC Perma Steel. Those are all good hooks. I feel the Visions are the best, you can sharpen them easiest due to the tip design. Get the longer shanked Siwashes and make sure you you give htem a little offset in the tip. Do ths by using a pair of needle nosed pliers. Place the hook point in the pliers with the hook point running paraell to the jaws with the point pointed towards the end of the jaws. Now bend the shank to the side until the the point is bent off to the sde of the shank at a slight angle. By doing this you get better hook penetration.
