McNary at night 11-07-01 WOO-HOO!

[FEAR NO FISH!]

I actually got to fish by myself last night. Everybody said it was too cold. Even my fishing partner, Gary ear infection Yager didn't want to go. I hit the water at 2130 . By 2300 I had caught 2 natives. At 2330 Tina showed up! 36 inches and bright as can be. Midnight brought a rip that cracked the vortex. Guaranteed leaker now. 0115 another native steelie. The fog really started pouring in. 0245 BAM! I thought I had hooked into a sub. A short time later, Ike climbed into the net. 37 inches of nastiness. You can probably tell I am crowing like a banty rooster.I woke up everybody I know and showed the fish to half of the Tri-Cities. I even talked my wife into coming out in the cold to take a few pictures. Will get them uploaded ASAP. I'm so excited I will never get to sleep! Nightfishing has been very very good to me. Once again WOO-HOO! 6 on, five landed. Two hogs brought home! IKE and TINA back together again, appearing nightly above McNary.

It's just sad to hear you have to go alone
How many fridges do you own anyway to store all those fish? Do you see other people fishing at this time?

Keep the posts coming and dang it, I might just need to plan a biz trip to the east!

1) The temp in Eastern WA & OR was in the mid 20's last night. FNF's "Everybody" [who said it was too cold!] was right! It was too cold! :smile:

2) Has anyone on Ifish asked FNF (aka Steve) where he was reared? I guarantee you it wasn't someplace warm like Florida or Washington. :tongue:

3) I was with Steve a couple of nights ago when the temp was in the mid-low 30's. I was bundled up, he didn't even wear a jacket, and the fish we caught weren't given names.

4) Steve, Remember the "Neurotic - Psychotic Chart?" Well, you have definately slipped past the middle of the chart this time! Way to go! :grin:

I'd wish you'd knock this stuff... cause of you I'll be down there friday night. doing the vortex boogie.... super glued up and ready. couldn't find 4# gamma so i'm trying VMC. anything has got to better than that factory junk.

You guys have nards of steel for fishing in those low digits. Of course I would love to try this sometime but my phone never rings to do this. I guess it's because I live in Portland. Oh well. I will just continue to get up at O'dark 30 for my fishing adventures.
