My first bamboo gaffs, don't laugh too hard,I think I will bend the hook a tad more

Bamboo gaffs are standard on the So. Cal. sportboats. Yours look great.

Nice job Bruce! One thing you need to do (if you haven't) is coat all the exposed bamboo. I use marine varnish. If you do not do this, the bamboo will rot / mold, and fall apart.

Although your name is "Moldy" you probably don't want this to happen

Makes me think Bruce might need a coat of varnish also.
Great looking gaffs by the way. They will do the job.
