Default Florence OPAC meeting

The meeting was very informational and for the most part the audience didn't have too much to say.
we had a couple of the warm and fuzzy types but I didn't think they had much to contribute.
There is NO funding for this!
I didn't copy the minutes so I would be safe to say it was probably the same as the other ones that were posted.

Going to plan on going to the one next Friday ,hope too see some dogs there

Maybe the state has no money for reserves but I'm sure there are some enviromental groups the would be more than happy to give the Governor as much money as he wants to fund as many reserves as he wants, just something to watch out for.

There were about 70 persons at the Meeting, including a few few familiar faces. Some good questions asked and some off the wall comments too. The material is the same for all the Meetings. The presenters seem to be getting more comfortable with the material.

If you can not make a meeting be sure and send in your comments;

Do we read our own responses at these meetings or turn them in for a moderator to present?

You write your responses down to the 5 questions and turn them in at the conclusion of the meeting. You can also respond on line.

There is time set aside for Q & A's.

Seahunt. How has the weather/ocean conditions been in PO lately. You planning on doing any fishing next weekend if the fish gods allow?

We have not been out since last weekend because of major surge. With the current conditions and forecast we plan to fish starting tomorrow and possibly through the week. Talked to urchin divers yesterday they said vis was 15' and improving at the reef. It's high time for our normal nice February weather to appear. Crabbing seems to be a bust as everywhere else on the coast, commercial crabbers with many pots and a 10 day soak have been getting 200 pounds or less.
I'm really antzy to try out our new Shimano Trevala Rods, you should check them out.
Hopefully the weather stays nice through next weekend, maybe get some spearfishing in after our ****** quotas with a couple good days of fishing.
